Thank you Community Justice Fund!

We would like to offer a big thank you to the Community Justice Fund for their recent donation to the North Hastings Community Trust. We understand the number of applications received this year was higher than in previous years so we are grateful to still be included. Interesting statistic; 26% of the client who receive funding from the Trust are victims of crime, this includes victims of domestic violence, other types of assault and theft. The Low-Income Energy Network (LIEN) is pleased that Energy and Infrastructure Minister Brad Duguid issued a letter yesterday to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), requesting it to resume work on a province-wide strategy to help low-income consumers reduce their energy consumption and costs.
